Can I finance LASIK?

Financing is available with low monthly payments. We also offer interest free financing up to one year. Options are available through Care Credit and Chase Health Advance.

If you contact Chase Health Advance, they will ask for our merchant number which is 31384.

Does Insurance Cover LASIK?

Generally, laser vision correction is considered elective and is not covered by many health insurance plans. However, some insurance companies offer a discount for the procedure and we’re happy to contact your insurance carrier to determine if LVC is an included benefit at JELC. Cafeteria or flex spending plans are eligible for LVC. Also, our office offers flexible monthly payments to make LASIK more affordable.

Tax Savings with LASIK?

LASIK qualifies as a medical expense. Therefore, you can pay for the procedure with a flexible spending account if your employer’s benefit program includes this option. Depending on the person’s tax bracket, payment through one of these plans could result in more than a $1,000 in tax savings if you have LASIK on both eyes.
